Good passage and tying it to sanctification! This reminds me that sin is really bad its compared to defilement, and vomit. O the stench! What should revolt us sadly we turn to it again. May we cling more to Christ and flee sin!
Backsliding is hard to find/cannot be found in the free pictures sites. We are grateful to the Triune GOD for His work in us, Jim that this verse is not the case for those who are firm in faith. True, this revolting anology should be a deterrent to prevent us from backsliding. Indeed, it is a caveat for all of us not to sin further that we have known the Truth. True, we should cling to CHRIST more as we pray to GOD the FATHER to “not lead us to temptation” and “deliver us from evil” such as cults.
True, Jim, not for the firm in faith! Genuine believers are sanctified in JESUS CHRIST; set apart to live by faith. Although there are cults and those who show both their Christian ang gangster “moves” but don’t have the faith, like seeds that are easily eaten by birds.
They seem to intertwine, Jim, so I frontloaded the verses for salvation to different subparts on the sanctification subseries and leave some verses for the salvation series in the months ahead, GOD willing. The Parable of the Sower story alluded to in the previous response is one of its contents.
True, and it is sometimes hard to decide which topic will you assign the particular passage. And sometimes when you needed that particular passage for series, you realized that you already used on a different topic. Thank GOD that there are verses that are almost similar.
This is one verse that is often quoted to prove their point that Christians can loose their salvation.
But since salvation has nothing to do with us, we can never loose what we never had until by God’s Grace we were saved .

True, Crissy, we can never loose what we did not contribute i.e. our salvation. JESUS, who began a good work in us, will be faithful to complete our salvation. This is a warning to those who upon knowing the Truth, rejected CHRIST instead but profess what christianity is according to their way a.k.a. cults, false teachers; the ones we encountered. This is also true for those who are christians by religion but live a life of a gangster and not that of a genuine believer. Only GOD can redeemed them if He so wills it according to His sovereign plan. We thank GOD that He strengthens our faith to overcome and by leading us away from evil, the false teachers kind. GOD bless you and your family.
Lesley, it is good to hear that it is sunny in England! In those few times we experienced rain, like in the county of Kent, I appreciated the sun the following day. True, may GOD “keep us all constant in our faith.” We continue to live in love and fear on Him who sanctifies us and completes our salvation. GOD is always there to direct our paths according to His way. GOD bless you and your family!

Love how your comment refer to more verses; verses that relate to sanctification and also it’s relations to salvation are many!

Scripture is so rich and a passage or periscopes can teach many doctrinal areas simultaneously!

I personally think if you repeat verses it’s ok for different topics
