Good evening, Mandy! You are right, we need not just to be reminded but also be convicted by the HOLY SPIRIT daily. Because we are saved by GOD the FATHER’s grace alone that is accepted by faith alone and we are under the long process of sanctification, our body belongs to JESUS CHRIST as the the HOLY SPIRIT indwells in us. True, Jim, it should be “a great motivation” for us that GOD indwells in us to live a life that is holy and away from sins especially that ones that defile the body the most. In the succeeding 3 verses, we will know that the body is not meant for such immorality and we should flee from that kind of sin thus we present to Him as His saved people. True, Crissy, we should be constantly reminded of this verse as we walk by faith along JESUS CHRIST’s path. Desecrating GOD’s temple is a lot awful to think about knowing that He indwells in us. During my younger days, I had memes pasted on my cabinet door to remind myself of these truths a well as worldly motivating stuff. With GOD sanctifying us, we can recall and live by this truth by heart. GOD bless you and family!
You are right, Alan, it is a motivating factor for us to be careful. It is a caveat on certain vices and abuses to the body as it is a temple of GOD who indwells in us. In the suceeding few verses, we will go deeper on these “defilement” of the body. GOD bless you and your family!
Ang paraan para malaman kung nasa atin ang espiritu ay kung may bunga ng espiritu gaya ng kapayapaan, pagpipigil sa sarili, pag-ibig at iba pa (Gal 5:22,23).
Totoo po iyon, Ed! Sangayon ako. Ang bunga ng Ispiritong Diyos ang siyang nagpapatunay na napasaloob siya sa atin. Pagbigyan sana kayo ng pamilya nila ng biyaya ng Panginoong Diyos.
Iyon ang malaking problema ng relihyon sa Pilipinas: maraming tradisyon pero sobrang materyalistiko at walang pagpipigil sa sarili ang karamihan ng tao
Tama po obserbasyon nila Ed pero hindi pangkalahatan. Yon ang nakakalungkot at ipagdasal natin. Hindi ang tradisyon ng simbahan ang makapagligtas sa atin. Ang tanging makapagligtas sa atin ay ang Panginoong HESUS. Tinatanggap natin pakumbaba ang biyaya galing sa Diyos sa pananampalataya sa kanya dahil kay HESU KRISTO na ating Panginoon at Taga-pagligtas. Maraming halimbawa na tradisyon and pagsamba pero materyalistiko na pamumuhay. Manuod lang tayo ng kasalukuyang balitang lokal/pambansa at yon na mga halimbawa.
Totoo iyon. Totoo rin na ang mga relihyon na hindi nagbibigay ng tamang patnubay ay hahatulan ni Jesus kung papaano inhatulan niya ang mga eskriba at pariseo noong unang siglo
Sangayon ako sa iyo, Ed! Kailangan talaga na may patnubay sa kanilang parokya ukol sa Diyos, sa Kanyang mga aral, at kaligtasan na sangayon sa nakasulat sa Biblia.

This theme of us as temple of God with the Spirit residing in it is a powerful reminder of God’s ominpresence which is a great motivation for holiness
