I don’t know if you have a saying like this in Filipino but it’s been said, “early to bed, early to rise helps keep a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” I don’t know about that, I just LOVE the morning! God’s mercies are indeed new each and every morning!! Nathan and I are driving to Paula’s funeral, we live 2.5 hours away, perhaps on our return I will listen to show tunes to lift my spirit! Great is GOD’s faithfulness! Actually, I don’t recall a similar saying in Filipino. It is an age old good advice and that will be something to start a new year. I meant the quote in a cheeky manner! I use to pride myself on having friends in many time zones. As a terrible sleeper I loved that I had people to talk to no matter the hour. Do you have time change in the Philippines? Daylight savings time ends in the North Sunday Nov 1. Does that make you 13 hours ahead of me?
We have the DST in the late 80s as an experiment. It just happened in one season and never continued in the following year. We were yawning in class, having started that early. DST is not needed here. Yep, that long.
