    1. This is my second favorite worship song, Mandy! I like the acoustic version sang sometime in mid 90s. Thank you once again for the birthday greet! Blessings to you and your entire family! I’ve planned a Hymns with graphics version a year plus ago but only made one meme i.e. today. Copyright is quite tricky with the Hymns, let alone “Christian” songs.

        1. Songs involves many records companies unlike Bible translations where there is only one company that handles a particular translation. Usage is free with certain conditions like giving credit and not for commercial purposes. Songs, especially new ones might require payment. This one is still an experiment or just once in a month.

    1. We will take it to the Lord in prayer! The song reminds us that JESUS is the only One that matters, who can console us, and a friend none can compete. We can draw truths and lessons from the song that has been translated into many languages including my native tongue. Blessings to you and your family!

    1. A classic hymn indeed, Lisa! The song has many renditions along the way, including this one. True, JESUS is our friend we can really reach out anytime, anywhere, any topic, any circumstance, and He is there all the time. After all, He is our GOD nad Savior. GOD bless you and your family!☝️🙂

    1. True, indeed! It is a subtle message to cling and focus on JESUS as our true friend. In essence, that is our life in following JESUS’ way through grace and be sanctified by the HOLY SPIRIT to be like JESUS CHRIST. A friend and GOD He is who consoles and reaches out to us.     1. Alan, I’ll search for that song in Youtube. Likewise, the song is in the top 5 worship songs for me. There is something in the song that we can relate to at anytime and mood i.e. JESUS never fails as a friend and a GOD; what a reminder. GOD bless you and your family.

    1. Yes, true, Ed, we are JESUS’ own people and friends when we follow Him and His way to GOD the FATHER. The HOLY SPIRIT indwells in us because of GOD’s grace that we accept in faith through JESUS CHRIST. GOD writes His commands in our hearts us as we are being sanctified and with GOD working in our salvation. With that, we follow JESUS’ command, although be stumble, still, we are His friends all for His glory.

      1. The spirit flows if we allow it to flow by endeavoring to manifest the “fruitage of the spirit” like “love, joy, peace…self-control etc”.
        God gives us the opportunity to be His friends and to make friends with His son Jesus but it is up to us to prove ourselves deserving

        1. That is the barometer of the fruit of the spirit in us through the in dwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT. We first humbly accept GOD’s grace by faith through JESUS before the fruit grows. We accept it with humility that no matter what we do, we cannot comply with all of JESUS’ commands or even memorize half of His commands; with that we are doom but by GOD’s grace we will overcome because JESUS will complete what He began in us. Otherwise, our hearts does not seek GOD. There are so called cult christians that follow here, there and everywhere but no faith in JESUS. But those GOD elects before the foundation of this universe, He calls His friends. JESUS completes His work in us because He first calls us His friends. What a friend indeed we have in JESUS!

    1. True, Donna, we have no greater friend that JESUS. Just this set of four points alone. No friend will: 1) sacrifice Himself, undergoing all the torture and the cross to redeem us, 2) be sinless, 3) clothed us with His righteousness, and 4) completes His work in us so we can be with Him worshipping the Triune GOD in heaven; all of these for the glory of GOD. What a friend we have in JESUS!

        1. This is an experimental post, Jim that was planned a year plus ago but only implemented now. This is best read when the sanctification subseries ends. Right now, I know you’re still singing this classical hymn. There are many hymns out there but we need know if we are not violating any laws. I did not expound much on tje song but there are interesting discussions in the thread above.

    1. Crissy, thank you too! 🙂 Grateful still to GOD for leading us to the free picture sites. This snippets of hymns is one of two possible things to post as planned last year but harder to do with so many copyright permissions. Well in this side, we are a rising star, we beat Saudi in the world ranking of highest…and we are still in the top 20. Sorry about that Crissy but that is the reality and we just have to be safe and reduce the risk. GOD bless you and your family!

He is the Lord GOD of our lives that keeps us from succumbing to a life of sin and completes our sanctification. JESUS is also our Savior who atoned for all our sins and clothed us with His righteousness so we can worship the Triune GOD in Heaven.
