    1. Thank you for this morning reminder to us all, Mandy that love is a verb! It is an action word! True, it is one of two of JESUS’ greatest commandments and one of the hardest challenges for us Christians in our sanctification process. GOD can change our hearts, as His disciples, to someday love all His children. GOD bless you and your entire family as well!

        1. Praise the Triune GOD indeed! On Mandalorian: Hahaha, yes, I will sleep early tonight and give you spoilers tomorrow. Just kidding. Usually, the first episode sets the stage but the question is, which new characters or subplots will the producers introduce. Ahsoka! Luke?

    1. You are right, ma’am Bonnie, we should love each other and other people too as JESUS loves us. True, only the Triune GOD can make us love everyone as He works in us in our sanctification. GOD bless you and your family!

    1. This subseries alone, 3 times JESUS mentioned the words, “love one another.” Paul, Peter and John also re-echoed JESUS 3 words many times and in the entire blog, around 4 times (1 Peter 22; 1 John 3:23, 4:7, 4:11). You are right, Jim, that is how serious GOD the SON is about His commandment. It takes the Triune GOD to change us to love those persons other than our circle and the usual suspects we love. One thing is for sure, in heaven, in our glorified bodies, this is already given. We love others, still for His glory!

  1. I agree with the verse and with the replies given by your readers. Jesus commanded us to love, so we must take it seriously. Only God can help our poor broken bodies, minds and hearts to do this. I confess to struggling with this at times, but I love God with all my heart, so I will continually pray for Him to work in me.

    1. Amen, Lesley! Praise God that sanctification is a process and that when we sin, not loving Him and/or others well, He will forgive us and give us another opportunity. Love is messy! Praise God that He loves us enough to not keep us content in our current relationship with Him. He calls us to trust and obedience, sanctifying us as we keep loving Him and others stepping out in faith. I love your heart and honesty for the Lord, Lesley. Thank you!

    1. You are right about it, Notes to Women! GOD makes a new heart to those who are according to His will (elect). This heart will be conform to be like JESUS, according to His way. With that, those who follow CHRIST will eventually love others as GOD works in us along the way. GOD bless you and your family!

        1. True Jim, it does change overnight. There were Typhoons in the north side of the country that went back to where it hampered a day before. We have a saying here in the country, “ang buhay ay weather weather lang” and translating it word for word means: the life is weather weather only or simply put: life is like a weather. Thank you very much for your prayers.

        2. Indeed, life is more like a weather in relation to the wind, especially when we serve the Triune GOD; where GOD leads us and directs our life for His purpose and glory. It is better than the chocolate box of Forest Gump.

        4. Jim, I should have known that because I keep on calling in Pacific Time and it is on my display/screen too on my 3 phones, still my thought was Philippine time. So, my fault purely. 🙂👍

  2. Love is easy when all is roses and sunshine, but when the thunderstorms roll in and all is not well it is a different matter. In such times, difficult health or situations, is when practicing love hurts but rewards the most. In the midst of trials our Father sees our struggles and our choice of the way of love, He will reward our faith in Him. Thank you for this scrioture Kent, your timing with these is always impeccable brother. God bless you.

    1. Thank you for your insight, Alan! Indeed, Christian love should withstand for all seasons of life. It is hard to apply to all people and very difficult to maintain even, on our own. Only with GOD can we be able to practice to love one another even if it is just one way as JESUS did. We are still commanded by JESUS so we try in faith to love one another. I agree with you that GOD will reward our faith. I’m happy to know that, Alan! And I’m grateful to GOD for leading us on the order of verses. Our Triune GOD is sovereign and knows what inspiration we need from Him and uses us too as a vessel to convey that inspiration.
