“Relax, eat, drink and enjoy yourself” is the lie the world offers. Narrow is the way that leads to life. All of man’s enjoyment is for nothing if it’s not first in Christ. You are right about it. Those two words focuses on ones own ability as the only source of one’s fortunes and not grateful to GOD nor acknowledging Him for His blessings. Blessings to you and your family!
You are right, it conveys a person relaxing, celebrating, and looking at his achievement (that took form). Our life on earth is like a vapor, wave, and flower that takes form but is fleeting and short. Living in our own confidence without recognizing GOD who saves and sustains us, is pointless as there is no salvation and no life in Heaven. Looking forward on what you will edify. True, in retrospect, life is like that and no matter how we try to immortalize ourselves, we will be forgotten by generations to come. And you are right, salvation and eternity with GOD is important, long lasting, and agony from hell prevention.

It’s all about “I will” with o regard to God. But is not “I will” it’s always God’s will.
