I hope this doesn’t sound awful. These verses are so practical to me when it comes to estate planning. It is folly to toil for the world and its riches and the riches/material one does acquire, godly wisdom is needed so as to not wreck another persons life! Loving this series! I haven’t had any comments as of late as the verses speak for themselves! Love and blessings to you and your family!
Thank you for your insights and for sharing experience when it comes to estate planning! Indeed, you are right “Godly wisdom is needed.” True, the verses speaks for themselves and practical, no need to elaborate. Blessings to you, Nathan, and your family!
My younger sister shared me this verse when we were in college; we would do all these things to see the Christian ministry on campus grow; then hand it to the next students who didn’t know why we want to things biblically, or understood the work into establishing the relationships and members. So true, so much vanity is there if we only look at the immediate results and not look to faitthfulness to God first
You must be familiar with Linkin Park’s famous song, “In the End” and the chorus. That is a good mundane song when you have to leave behind, in the best state something you have work so hard, to the next in-charge, such as a graduate students’ org, campus ministry. You have to trust and let go. You are right, with GOD’s ministry, one must trust GOD that He will faithfully sustain the endeavor and if not, He has plans for it that will ultimately be great and for His glory e.g. slow a bit or for it to be jumpstarted later on. The key, as you have said, GOD is faithful and we have to trust Him. Also, one must invest in Heavenly treasures i.e. follow JESUS CHRIST in faith. Blessings to you, Nancy, your kids, your sisters, and your parents. 🎗
Good song reference. When I am not in a good place I can take that chorus too far not to the point of Chester, which, I really hope Chester knew the Lord. But take it to a level where it can tank my day, distract me keep me from seeking God. I have experienced Satan’s gift/spirit of despair and hopelessness more times than I can count and this gift/spirit has really ramped up across the globe in these last 15 months. Love and blessings to y’all and your families!
Hope to see you sing in a videoke session. As much as I like to chat but I already replied to your email few minutes ago and it is already 12:30 AM PHT. 🎗
True, Crissy! Ecclesiastes is filled with Godly wisdom! The Triune GOD has a way of telling us what really matters through this Book and it can arguably be to trust and have faith in Him in what we do. Although “toil” with the temporal perspective in mind is “striving in the wind” but that does not stop from doing mundane things/work in this world for GOD’s glory. Blessings to you, your family, and Fryday team! Stay safe!! 🎗
