  1. Gersom,
This reminds me of John 17:8 when Jesus says to the Father —
“For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.” How thankful I am that Christ prays for us as He did in the High Priestly prayer that God may be glorified in us!

    1. Amen! Great points as shown in John 17:8, Dora! One, our High Priest Forever, in the Order of Melchizedek, have relayed GOD the FATHER’s message to His people, including the parables and following JESUS as the only Son of GOD the FATHER and way to Him. Two, “that CHRIST prays for us” and it really means a lot as it implies that those who grow/flourish in good soil/GOD’s Word are JESUS’ own and that He keeps us even in trials. May we continue to grow in faith in the Triune GOD and be feed/sustained by His Word. Blessings to you and your family!

      1. Thank you, Gersom, for opening God’s word so profitably. Good to read this morning. May we flourish in His keeping even as we stand on His world alone through every trial by His grace. May the Lord bless and keep you and your family!

    1. You are right, Beth! These seven words, that were repeated twice in one chapter, is a strong indication that 1) the parables are must to hear or not to be missed out in sharing the Gospel, 2) has serious implications on the hearer/reader on why and how he/she will receive GOD’s Word/Good News of salvation, and 3) should be pondered upon particularly whether to be with GOD in heaven for eternity or being tormented in hell forever. A warning indeed that we all should listen to. Blessings to you and your family!

    1. You are right, Crissy! Indeed, these people are chosen, called, and whose “heart is prepared by GOD to receive His Word and produce fruit” as in faith in Him, repentance, change ways, and responding to His commission. True, having the heart for His Word is what is alluded to as the difference between the good soil from the rest. Sustaining the bearing of fruit is what differentiates it with the rocky and thorny soils. May we all continuesly bear fruit just like what you did in your ministry/evangelization! Blessings to you and your family!

    1. You are right, Jim! It “is such an encouragement” for those whom GOD the FATHER chooses to call and respond to His Word with faith, are repenting on their sins, who have changed ways, are following and acknowledging JESUS CHRIST as Lord and Savior of their lives, and are making Him known in the community/world. It is also an encouraging Truth in whatever their circumstances in life is as GOD’s salvation is far greater reward than any rewards in this world, with eternity with GOD in mind. Blessings to you and your family!

      1. Indeed salvation is the greatest of reward. We will understand and appreciate this more and more the longer we walk with God! Blessings to you Gersom!
