Even John, by the inspiration of God, couldn’t reveal it to us. There simply are not words to describe but one day we will see His glory in its fullness.

True Believe4147, we will know someday how “glorious”, jaw dropping, and awe inspiring what John’s (Paul’s third) heaven really is, to say the least.

True Jim. John MacArthur has an explanation on this (I just checked now) in his Study Bible ESV. He says, this verse “often incorrectly thought to refer to the wonders of heaven, refer rather to the wisdom GOD has prepared for believers. God’s truth is not discoverable by eye or ear (objective, empirical evidence) nor is it discovered by the mind (subjective, rational conclusions).” So it is Godly Wisdom for Believers, I stand corrected in my initial assumptions that it is about heaven or as Paul calls it, the third heaven.

Thanks for sharing John MacArthur’s insight into the verse

You’re welcome. Besides, it helps us in understanding the context. I just can’t do this for the rest of the verses though as it requires permission. I only have Crossway’s permission.
