Amen! We cannot approach God however we want. We approach Him on His terms and in His ways. Praise God that purity in place (temple) is now purity in person (temple/house of the Holy Spirit). May we listen and obey His voice. Love and blessings brother! Thankful for you and your family!
Thank you for your insight! True, we should come to GOD in worship and give reverence to Him who has done and continuesly do things that sustains us on top of His Salvation work. Indeed, we, our body, is the temple of GOD and we nourish it spiritually through the reading of His Word and lisening to those who interpret and expound His Word whether face-to-face or online. There are many online resources that we can avail e.g. oneplace.com, gotquestions, and guidelines.org. Blessings to you and your family as well!
You are right! Listening to GOD’s Word, focusing on following JESUS CHRIST and trusting in Him is far better than sacrifices done out of mere vanity. Blessings to you and your family!
You are right, Jeff, these days it is easy to talk than listen. Everyone has opinions to shout out either voice or text, face-to-face or online. We are reminded in this verse to listen first on GOD’s message than act outside His command. Blessings to you and your family!
I read this a short time ago and for me it confirmed what was already on my heart. I have felt for some time that the sanctuary of our churches are treated disrespectfully, some churches use them for many purposes. And as individuals many come into the sanctuary carelessly. Some will say that it is just a building, but I say it is the meeting place between the church and the Almighty.
Good observations and concern! It reminded us of what JESUS CHRIST did in the temple when He saw the money exchangers and sellers doing business in His house. Although, in the New Covenant, our body is now the temple of GOD (yes, we have similar if not bigger responsibility), still it is best to give reverence and courtesy to GOD in an edifice we set apart as “the meeting place” for corporately worshipping Him. But, we cannot police let alone police the heart. We can only pray and marvel what GOD does to both attendees and online listeners when the Word of GOD pierces to their hearts in repentance. Blessings to you Alan and your family!

I like how “to draw near to listen” is highlighted. Listening is fast becoming a lost art.
