153 LARGE fish [fiesta!], enough to feed a company, if not a battalion of followers (and not just a squad of disciples). This one (of the many facinating events) sticked to the memory of this firsthand/eyewitness, who later wrote the book. I wonder if skeptics would point out how Peter carried/hauled 153 large and heavy fish. Well, management 101, a squad, and time element.

Yeah I can imagine some skeptics can trip over this though to me the specific number is proof of the internal evidence variety that this is a witness!

That is John, “the apostle whom JESUS love;” the writer of the book, eyewitness, and the one who first realized that it was JESUS, informing Peter in the process.
