You are right, Jim, this set of verses, gives us encouragement in our sanctification process as well as in our larger salvation by the work of the Triune GOD alone. We put on the righteousness of following JESUS CHRIST as a new self that is “transformed in the renewing of mind” and living a life according to His will and commands. Someday, when we are in heaven, JESUS will put on/clothed us with His righteousness (of a Human and GOD who have not sinned) so we will not be condemned. Talking about “a new self,” it is related to tomorrow’s post. A blessed Sunday to you and your family!
Praise GOD! Praising the Triune GOD indeed, Crissy as He transforms us by the renewal of our mind, allowing us to put on in our “new self” (born again) a righteous living that is centered on Him while walking by faith in Him. A blessed week ahead my friend! Still praying for your ministry, to strengthen you and your team in service of GOD the most High.
Naaappreciate ko and kabutihan nila.
Haha. Conversational Tagalog is easy to learn, Jim. The writing above is more informal but easy to read. English words and at times Filipinized English words are incorporated in a sentence. Sometimes, I still check my response in Filipino/Tagalog to its English translation just to be sure that those who would like to know the content gets the right translation in Google Translate. Recently, I did not. Now, I’ll check how it goes with Google.
Such an encouragement that in our salvation we are made new; we are a new self as the verse teaches here! This is the basis for our sanctification!
