Grateful to GOD for His inspiration and the availability of these pictures (even on YouTube). We are now informed (in verse 26) by JESUS CHRIST–who “all things were made through Him” (John 1:3), that there is a chasm between Heaven and hell thus, NO one can cross these two Biblical afterlife places except, I believe, the Triune GOD; yes, we will know in Heaven. So, this is to implore everyone to make use/utilize our short time in this world to repent of sins, know JESUS CHRIST more, ask Him to strengthen one’s faith, strive to trust Him in faith, and glorify Him. The rich man’s plea to Abraham reminds me of Jesus’ (and Paul’s) response to those who ask for signs. We think that great signs are the “shock and awe” treatment that will change hearts but just look at Moses with pharaoh, or the Israelites after crossing the Red Sea!
A hardened heart does not see things through (as spiritually blind) unless GOD renews it and calls the person to saving faith. For that reason, once we have hunger for the things of GOD, like reading verses of the Bible in WP or edifying articles, we should be grateful to GOD and strive to have faith in our Lord GOD and Savior, JESUS CHRIST. Going back, you are right Dora, many will ask for signs and still remained skeptic to the bitter end and some having preconceived notions (ex. political Messiah) that no sign can satisfy them. Faith is what is needed and not signs! Aren’t we happy if the other party has faith in our friendship or business partnership or even our ability to get things through. Indeed, GOD has a way to make us understand things that surrounds us, for the purpose of increasing our faith in Him and not signs that we can easily reject. Blessings to you and your family!
Thank you too, Tom! You are definitely right and it shows progression in one’s belief like from milk to solid food or a child’s Sunday school to Sermons. True that the SON of GOD is love but He is also is Just, very candid and convicts the likes of the Pharisees, rich young man etc on their face, and turned the tables not just physically but also the preconceived notions, like no work on Sabbath. Indeed, knowing JESUS as only love is somewhat also refusing to digest the Truths that CHRIST hates the sins of all. GOD the FATHER hates all sins and sinners alike and judges them. But, GOD the FATHER also provides a way (grace) though His SON, JESUS CHRIST, accepting, trusting by faith. I’d like to expound further Tom but I’m so sleepy at this very hour. We will see how changes were made in the New 52 reboot, Tom, that led to the rebirth (soft reboot) and doomsday clock storyline where Imra was stock in the 21st Century. A blessed mid-week!
Those reboots are confusing to a linear thinker like me, but I know they are attempts by DC to drum up interest. Thank you and mid-week blessings to you!
