  1. I love Barnabas! I know I am jumping ahead and forgive me! It hurts my heart when I read how Paul and Barnabas had a falling out; however, how God used these two men to plant churches is incredible. 14 days brother🤗🤗🌷🌷❤️❤️❤️❤️

    1. Nope, you are not jumping ahead, Mandy because we might not post in the blog what happened to the young deserter named John Mark (author of the Book of Mark in his less brash older days), Barnabas, and Paul and the aftermath i.e. healing/reconciliation of the rift, in this blog at all. No planned series that will cover those verses in different Books. That falling out can be seen in many lenses and there are lots of messages. It just shows how important the mission in service to GOD is and conflict among Christians in their finite minds in this fallen world is also seen in the Bible. And you are right, as an example, instead of planting one church together, they planted separately, which was more efficient.

GOD’s ultimate plan as seen in typical human interactions. Also in this set of verses, we can see how Saul, now Paul, was dreaded by even the disciples, showing how notorious he was, and how GOD renews a person who changed his mind towards faith in JESUS CHRIST. Blessings to you and your family!

  2. His real name was Joseph, wasn’t it? But the church nicknamed him “Barnabas” in Greek which means “Son of Encouragement”! His introduction of Paul to the church made all the difference to those who were suspicious of him. May we be encouragers like Barnabas. Have a good night, Kent, blessings and peace to you and yours.
