Gersom,
John 5:44 came to mind: “How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?” Seeking the approval of the world leads us astray every time. O may the word of God sink deep into our hearts and minds by the Holy Spirit so that we do not conform to the world but be transformed so that we may discern God’s will, “what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Rom. 12:2).
Blessings to you and yours today, and peace.

This is indeed a relevant set of verses that you connect, Dora! You are right, seeking approval from people in what is pleasing in their eyes instead of GOD, will just redirect our focus from Him (to that of what the world prefers) thus leading us astray or even not making GOD the heart of our worship. Indeed, after we earnestly accept JESUS in our lives and the HOLY SPIRIT comes and resides in us, our heart is renewed as He guides to discern everyday. May we be sensitive to the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT as He convicts us on what not to do as well as what to do. Without the HOLY SPIRIT residing in us, we can easily dismiss GOD when things go bad; just like the seeding the grows fast but got scourged by the heat of the sun due to the lack of water (and nutrients) that the seeding can absorbed (having less soil to anchor/abide into. May the HOLY SPIRIT convicts us when we are discouraged and enlighten us further on the Sovereignty of GOD so we don’t quit from believing Him. Blessings to you and your family!
Thank you, Jim! Not all “Christians” find images like that appealing, if not find it appalling instead. But it is part of our life in following JESUS CHRIST to either experience or hear stories of persecution and even tribulation on the account of faith in the Triune GOD, in following Him, and in hoping on His promises. All things good and properity is not the Christianity we both know and I originally planned to have that kind of graphics but none is available for free and not requiring permission such as TBN etc. A combination of a “trading for sorrows…yes Lord” worship scene in one panel tandem with anger and disgruntled with the Lord for experiencing sorrows right after a meteorological or geological disaster in another panel, however, GOD led me to this picture. I’m not sounding like a hyper calvinist (for which I’m definitely neither that or works-based righteousness believer) on being too grateful to GOD, in His Sovereign will in all these things in my life, for discoveries like this. Finding pictures like that figuratively makes you leap for joy and you know that there is a Divine Hand leading (not just helping) you dispite oceans of pictures. It is like a thorn being pulled in your flesh. Anyway, may GOD who chose and keeps His own, guides them not to backslide. And may those who at first left GOD because of certain events, will seek Him now, know His Sovereign will more, and His gift of everlasting joy away from everlasting torment. Blessings to you and your family!
I’m glad for God’s sovereignty with leading you to this picture and also for His sovereign grace first taking initiative with saving us and sanctifying us!
Amen! You are right! GOD directs our lives in His Sovereign will, when we follow His Sovereign commands in His Word, the Bible. When we also reflect on GOD’s Word, have a grasp on the Truths of the Bible, and constantly pray for His guidance then we are like a plant that is rooted and have available nutrients. No matyer what disasters and tribulations that come to our life, we are firmed in faith in GOD. May we allow GOD to fill our hearts.

I love the image for this pic! Wow that is a vivid imagery of persecution! May we endure even in the midst of persecution!
