You are right, Jim! For one, there will be a greatly reduced spiritual stamina for that person by not being achored to JESUS as the center/source of faith. Also, the person will easily leave the faith without the HOLY SPIRIT guiding him/her in life and interceding in his/her behalf to GOD the FATHER.
Yep how important it is to be in union with Christ (rooted, anchored, abide, grafted, etc)! Our union with Christ also involves the work of our Triune God within us

You are right, just like any type of plant that is nourished by nutrients, our faith when anchored on JESUS, grows significantly and continuesly nurtured by the HOLY SPIRIT.
