This is a fantastic visual! So much discontentment in life. Praise God that He will help us process our life situations and help us make sense of the noise.
Thank you, Mandy! Grateful to GOD for this set of similar photos by the same source. Indeed, there is much discontentment in life and disenchantment of things, people, and institutions around it especially in this pandemic, and its effects. True and thank you for your encouraging words that GOD does “help us process our life situation and making sense of the noise” to teach us what matters in the end i.e. a right relationship with GOD and trusting Him in this transient world. Blessings to you, Nathan, and your family!
Thank you for your…insight. They say, the only constant in life is change; yes everything changes. Yet, it is the same theme, pattern, joy, sadness, sin, amusement, tool etc etc all over again. Blessings to you and your family!
The Preacher keeps repeating that line, Crissy, along with the words vanity and striving after the wind in the succeeding Chapters. Reading the 11 Chapters straight (just now), I like the honesty and at times sarcasm (9:9-10) of the preacher. Indeed, there is nothing new under the sun as his examples, observations, and insights are still relevant today. Technology changes but character is the same. Let us explore the wisdom and sentiments of the preacher and thoughts of the other voice in the Book of Ecclesiastes. Blessings to you my friend and looking forward to hear GOD’s direction to you and your Fryday team!
Thanks, Kent. This passage reminds me that God would later do something radically new and without precedent; God the Son would become incarnate in His mission to redeem sinners. So surprising and unexpected (although the Old Testament provided many foreshadowings).
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” – Isaiah 43:19
Thank you for your insight, Tom! Indeed, only GOD can bring/introduce new and fresh things to His creation. No better example than giving salvation to sinners (where we humans couldn’t do) through JESUS CHRIST our Lord GOD and Savior. Other than what GOD brings, there is nothing new that humans bring as the preacher repeats in the Book of Ecclesiastes. Blessings to you and your family! And thank you for sharing this Truth!
