  1. Wisdom isn’t wisdom if it isn’t from God. I know ALL to well what life was like before Christ and it was foolishness, folly and empty. So thankful for the Triune God’s saving grace through faith in Christ. Such a timely series, brother! (Ps this didn’t show up in my WP reader but did get the email notification, not sure if this will/has happened to anyone else.) Jesus loves you brother and so do Nathan and I!

    1. You are right, Mandy! True Wisdom is from GOD and we can ask it from Him who imparts it to us and guides us (as He revealed in the Bible). Still, we try human wisdom to make sense of our world and on worldly stuff. Here (according to John MacArthur’s commentary), the preacher, who is identified as Solomon, “depended on empirical research rather than Divine revelation to understand life, he found it an empty experience.” Thank you for the heads up; I usually check new posts in the app notification. Blessings to you, Nathan, and your family!

  2. Seeking wisdom without God is vanity too, even though its better than seeking foolishness; in the end though true wisdom is fearing God (Ecclesiastes 12)

    1. Thank you for your insight, Jim! True, fearing GOD is the true wisdom and that is the concluding statement of the “voice” who reflected on the statements and observations of preacher. That will also be the post (i.e. conclusion) in a months time. May those who read seek wisdom from GOD, trust Him to understand this world. Blessings to you and your family!
