Apostle Paul fearlessly defends himself in the face of countless persecution. While he lived as both the prosecutor and the persecuted, his lasting allegiance is to his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen! In the end, Paul remained steadfast in faith to JESUS CHRIST, as the Lord GOD kept him to the very end that he never weavered inspite of persecutions. Blessings to you and your family!
Oh, if I am perfectly honest, perhaps there are times when I am guilty of kicking against the goads. I find sometimes that I am starving for the power of God to come like it did in the days of Paul (Saul). The Church seems to be failing in a great falling away. Regardless, our Creator is in control and everything is going according to His plan.
GOD is Sovereign and in control. No matter how much we kick against the goads, futile it is, still GOD’s will prevails. Blessings to you and your family!
Amen! And it also shows consistency in the story, although written by one writer/physician. I like Paul’s interpretation of the narrative i.e. kicking against the goads, reflecting heavily on the event. Blessings to you and your family!
Bible skeptics are so blinded but they cannot kick against the goads or be rebellious for long if GOD wills it. By His Sovereign election, they will have a 20/20 Biblical vision.
I love this verse. “Why are you persecuting me”? , it reminds me that we are one with Jesus when the church suffers for His sake. Reminds me of Matthew 25.
Blessings Clark.
Buenos tardes Crissy! Sí, GOD the SON acted/responded swiftly and you are right, this assurance and a reminder that He watches His believers/churches and those who persecute the churches. We have a hope in JESUS as a living GOD who watches/keeps His own/sheep (Matt. 25)! Bendiciones to you and your family, Crissy!

I love how the account of Paul’s conversion is captured in more than one chapter in Acts. Shows how important that is in redemptive history!

Your description of skeptics reminds me of pre-consversion Saul…
