    1. Yes, it is a reminder, Mandy of what awaits those who never seek the Triune GOD and did not accept JESUS as Lord GOD and Savior. We anchor on the promises of GOD that He will transform our body into a glorified one and make us reside in His Kingdom instead of being destroyed in hell. By the way, I sent 2 emails. GOD bless you, your family, and your upcoming ministry!

    1. True, Crissy, GOD is a just GOD and this is His warning to those who reject Him. It is indeed powerful words and assurance for us who believe and walk by faith that those who commit unspeakable evil but did not repent and seek GOD will meet their demise in the fiery pits. That place is probably filled with lava-like terrain. We are bless to know CHRIST indeed. GOD bless you, your family, and ministry.

        1. Great indeed is GOD’s faithfulness, Crissy! Every day that we enjoy His creation and a breath of oxygen, we see Hos blessings. How much His work in our salvation; GOD the FATHER’s grace, redemption and cleansing of sins by GOD the SON, and constant guidance and conviction by GOD the HOLY SPIRIT. Truly, He is a great GOD! May we have a wonderful remaining week in CHRIST JESUS. A blessed Friday ministry ahead!

    1. You are right, Tom! Sometimes, if not most, we fear the mortal “bosses” of our lives than pleasing/glorifying GOD. We please those people for our interests, rewards/perks, satisfaction, peace, and even security at the expense of our complete trust, faith, and adoration of GOD. There are many examples to think of including your favorite ones. Aside from pleasing mere mortals, we also please our unjustified and at times justified fears as well as gratification, still at the expense of pleasing GOD. In hindsight, we don’t fear being martyred for CHRIST during Tribulation than reject Him and lived for a while; knowing that when we stick with Him until our end, we will be with Him in eternity. GOD bless you and your family!

    1. What a great verse to show them the proof, pastor! It is very unthinkable for a “Christian” not to believe that hell, fiery and filled with torment is a real place not to be with and yet there are those who mistake it as a place of mere slumber (awaiting for judgment). People who are not in the LAMB’s Book of Life, go to hell once being judged. It is also something not to aspire for, for those who knew CHRIST and thus they pursue their sanctification and grateful for GOD’s work in their salvation. Also, there is no in-between place like a pocket universe in the comics. There is only Heaven and hell. Actually, I read those comments on your podcast on Purgatory last Monday and all I can react in my mind was 1 Corinthians 1:18. GOD bless you, your family, and ministry!

        1. Looking back at it, you made it clear in your presentation, and during the Q&A that it is not supported Biblically. Yet, some find a way regardless of how unsubstantiated their claims are, not seeing that it is all part of the sanctification process and not some fictitious place to do it. But, thanking GOD, they are not the only ones viewing it. So we pray to the Triune GOD that those who are at the crossroads will come to see the truth.

    1. You are right, Rev. Todd, this is indeed an encouraging and morale-boosting verse for those who walked by faith in CHRIST and are experiencing persecutions. It is like what Stephen has experienced when he was about to be stoned and saw JESUS seated at the right hand of GOD the FATHER. They can kill the body but the soul is assured in GOD’s Book of Life. John Piper is right in pointing on this verse. GOD bless you, your family, and your ministry!

  1. Excellent verse Kent! Here we have two faces of fear: on one it is right to fear God Almighty, on the other we need not fear men. Our Father God has us in His hand, no one can harm us or steal us from Him.

    1. Grateful to GOD for directing/giving thought/reminding at the last minute to add this in the sequence, Alan. You are right, Alan! When we hold on to our faith in GOD until our very end and the ensuing eternity, we are assured that we are His own. What awaits us is GOD’s embracing arms and us transformed in our glorified bodies. So mere mortals, their devices, natural hazards, disasters, pandemics, “tribulation, distresses, persecution, famine” (Romans 8:35) and even death won’t scare us because of GOD’s assurance and love. Those unrepentant depraved ungodly people have a lot to be scared of. We are assured as GOD works in our salvation! GOD bless you and your family!

    1. Amen to GOD’s warning for unrepentant and unbelieving sinners as well as an assurance for us that no matter what happens to our earthly body, as long as we are firm in our faith in GOD and Savior to the very end, He will call us to gather during His second coming and be with our Triune GOD in eternity. We now hold on to this promise and live by faith in JESUS CHRIST. Thank you, Tangie! GOD bless you, your family, and your blog ministry!
