You are denifinitely right! We are all going there and why not prepare for it i.e. knowing and trusting JESUS CHRIST as Savior from the tormenting hell and Lord GOD of our sanctified life. JESUS is the key to which afterlife place one will go. Trusting and believing in Him by faith leads to Heaven/Paradise. Blessings to you and your family!
The reality of hell and torment for those that reject Jesus is very real. It also causes much pain to see people making the wrong eternal choices. Prayer is a comfort and the knowledge that to God all things are possible.
Blessings Clark.
Very true, Crissy! Both afterlife places are real. Unlike this temporary life on earth where we’re like a vapor in the wind, those places are permanent and there is no switching or traversing in-between places (as the next set of verses imply. Indeed, we can only pray for those who are hardened and still continue sharing the Gospel to those who will eventually want JESUS to be their Savior, repenting of their sins, and looking forward to worship Him in Heaven/paradise. Absolutely true Crissy, nothing is impossible to GOD, especially if one seeks Him earnestly. Blessings to you and your family! Still praying for your (you, Mandy, Jim) families, in light with what we discuss.
In Jimmy’s (SlimJim) youth time this week we read Spurgeon’s commentary on Psalm 139. What stuck out to me from this commentary was on v 8 and Sheol/hell and that “God is Jehovah there…What an awful thought, that some men seem resolved to take up their night’s abode in hell, a night which shall know no morning.” Hell is a real place. The greatest lie ever told is Satan convincing the world he doesn’t exist or that he isn’t that bad. I am more aware of the reality of hell each day and I am praying for y’all and your families. Love and blessings.
The reality of hell grieves me when I see people reject the gospel that will save them. There is another verse in The book of Revelation I think is 14/10 where it speaks of the Lamb’s presence in the lake of fire. If God is everywhere present, hell couldn’t escape His Presence. Satan in the great master deceiver and a powerful enemy that we can only defeat with the weapons the Lord has given us that are mighty through God.
Thank you for your prayers Mandy. We certainly need to pray for our unsaved family.
Pray without ceasing, while there is breath in their lungs there is hope in God Almighty to save them .
Love and blessings dear one.
What I get from this is the reality that we will die; how we need to live in light of that reality and trust in Jesus

Yes, it is figuratively a choice between Paradise or place of torment in the case of the lechon (roast pig).
