Thanks, Kent! And the wedding garment is the imputed perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ! The pseudo-Christian groups that teach works-righteousness salvation say the wedding garment is the individual’s subjective righteousness and worthiness.
You are right, Tom! JESUS CHRIST’s righteousness that He imputes to unworthy sinners is not merited by a person’s sense of “goodness” even if that person (wrongly) perceives maintaining a certain level of it throughout his/her entire life. It is bestowed solely by the Triune GOD. It is solely by GOD’s grace, through JESUS CHRIST alone that we take part in the Marraige Feast of the LAMB solely by faith. Our “righteousness” is like a polluted garment (Isaiah 64:4), absolutely useless. Blessings to you and your family!

ONLY CHRIST can impute His righteousness to us as our way to Heaven and our own “goodness/righteousness” is useless. May we enter the narrow gate by faith and trust in JESUS CHRIST.
