I hold very tightly to this! It’s not in my strength but in God’s that I have purpose, working for His glory. Praise God He knows the work He has for us and that when it is our time He will see us safely home. Love and blessings brother!!!!
You are right, Mandy, it is not in our strength but GOD’s strength, power, and mercy that what the Triune GOD started in us, He will definitely complete it until “He will see us safely home” welcoming us in His arms. This is true in our sanctification process to be like JESUS as well as from election to justification to sanctification. GOD, who began a good work in our salvation, will be faithful to complete it. It reminds me of this song. Blessings to you and your family!
You are right, Crissy, we should be glad on GOD’s assurance that He will faithfully complete His salvation work in us, as well as in our holiness/sanctification (we are heaven ready). With humans, it is impossible but with GOD, it is possible! And no matter how many times we perceived we fail, we know that GOD’s hands is there to hold us if we keep the faith. I’m sharing you this song. Blessings to you and your family!
Agreeing with you, Jim, our confidence and faith is solely anchored with the Triune GOD who works in our salvation and completes our sanctification/holiness so we can be with Him in heaven. GOD is Holy and Righteous and our sinful dark nature cannot withstand the blazing bright holiness of GOD like a temperature of the center of the sun against a bacteria. The Triune GOD made the way that ultimately paved for us to be with Him. Grateful to the Triune GOD for His love, work, and faithfulness! Blessings to you and your family!
He is, Jim! GOD is GOD and is good indeed! I might skip certain times in the Bible study if deliveries come in between those times. Delivering online orders and packages here requires a face-to-face contact as to verify that the delivery person did give the package to the right person as required by the online store. Thank you. See you all at 6:30pm PDT.
Thank GOD, the first one came after the Bible Study. Thank you very much, Jim for edifying today. I’v learned a lot in your lecture. Indeed, we have to pray to GOD for the gift, guidance, and most important of all, the grace to be self disciplined as we strive to cultivate one. It seems my comment on your future post is earlier.
Thanks, Kent! A profound verse. Yes, God is conforming us to the image of His Son. I know I still need much more “conforming,” and my confidence is in the Potter.
Agreeing with you, Tom, that GOD is the sole recipient of our trust and confidence in our salvation as well as in this process of molding us to be like JESUS. Indeed, this verse is profound that gives us the reason to leap for joy, shout in praise, and be very grateful to GOD who gives us the assurance that He will complete His work in us so we can be with Him for eternity; worshipping Him in gratitude. We all are struggling and striving in this long sanctification process. But we know and are confident that no matter how we fall down, GOD is always there to lift us up. Our life history is an evidence on how GOD works in us. GOD will complete what He started. Blessings to you and your family!
This verse is always a great source of encouragement when things are not going well. It reminds me that I need to be patient and trust Him, He is not finished with me yet. Through Him I am “a work in progress!”
Thank you for your testimony, Alan! Indeed, this verse gives us assurance and encouragement in the Triune GOD. Until CHRIST comes! GOD bless you and your family!

Grateful to the Triune GOD for His revelation and giving us insight. There are many versions of the song available in Youtube.

So so so glad that He will bring the work to completion. If it was up to me I will fail miserably.
