True! I definitely agree with your observations, Mandy! It makes us appreciate GOD’s grace and revelation/enlightenment from His Word more. No matter what comes, we are firmed. Amen? Blessings to you and your family!
Yes, indeed, it is sobering and true! Check the contact lens. Thankful that you are refuting the false allegations of the Skeptic’s Annotated Bible in your blog and showing us how the Bible is always worthy of our trust. Blessings to you and yours!
I spent a bit of time on this particular verse last night, (as I am currently studying the book of 2 Corinthians), “the god of this age blinds the minds of those who don’t believe”, so as believers were we blinded by the god of this age before we believed? or do you think this verse means people are blinded because they don’t believe?
Your thoughts on this would be so appreciated.
Blessings to you and yours .
The verse is an interesting one, so do your questions, Crissy! Before 2013, I would think/go for the second notion. But I came across the doctrines of election, total depravity etc, so I believe that GOD opens our eyes by His mercy, justice, and grace; all for His sole glory. Before GOD calls us/opens our eyes, we were blinded by the the god of this world. When GOD opens our eyes, He keeps us for eternity. Because a person really does not seek GOD out of his/her own initiative or desire then without GOD intervening/renewing the heart/opening the eyes, that person remains spiritually blind even if he/she is the most nicest/goodest person in town. Blessings to you, your family, and your ministry.
This blindness is increasing more and more. Hostility is the natural response from those who reject God’s Son, Word, Truth, Standard.
