    1. Grateful to GOD for the availability of these combined pictures. The Triune GOD’s Good News on our Salvation, through His work, has a ripple effect in our lives, community of believers, and throughout time; just like a small mustard seed that grows into either a mustard plant (graphics) or a large mustard tree. Blessings to you and your family!

  1. Kent, thanks for this passage. Many theologians have debated the meaning of this parable. Some see it as Jesus making a positive comment about the supernatural expansion of the coming church (mustard plants don’t naturally grow very large). Others see it as a foreboding warning, with the birds of the air (often used as demonic symbols in Scripture) nesting within the church itself (a prophecy of the future Roman Catholic church?).

    1. Thank you too for this information, Tom! I have never thought of it until now that there are other possible meanings out there of the Parable of the Mustard Seed. Chances are, throughout time some see the connection or “warning” and I assumed that the “supernatural” word here might refer to GOD’s hand/intervention that even if there were (and are) persecutions, the message of the cross will prevail. We may know in Heaven the true meaning but for now, I will stick with the popular expansion/growth of GOD’s Good News on our Salvation by His grace alone through JESUS CHRIST alone and received by faith alone explanation. You are right, mustard plant don’t naturally become a tree and it is hard to find a mustard tree picture in the free sites and the web in general that is not yet owned by a religious institution or were used specifically for this parable; that is how rare it is. Still, JESUS’ parable shows us that Christianity started so so small but will expand bigger and it is comforting to know that its number will not regress in spite of the times. Blessings to you and your family!

    1. Truly an amazing parable. Indeed, we must pray for it according to His will and purpose that what we all, His servants/vessels in the world, will do will have a ripple effect in the digital community and neighborhood; just like the multiplier effect that I mentioned in your yesterday’s comment. We also pray that what GOD does in all of us (i.e. writing His Laws in our heart, renewing our mind, and strengthen our faith in Him), He will nurture, increase, and complete. Blessings to you and your family!

    1. You are right, Crissy! As vessels of GOD to be used for His sovereign purpose and plan for His people, we are led/directed to saw the seed and yes, only GOD who began a good work will be faithful to complete theirs and our salvation; all for His glory! We, however learned something in the process that will also strenthen our faith in GOD and at the same time grateful to Him for such heart warming experiences. Praying still for you and your evangelizing team to saw more seeds for GOD’s Kingdom! Blessings to you and your family!
