  1. Lloyd-Jones in his Spiritual Depression book when our we are downcast we need to preach this verse to ourselves to remind us to hope and praise God again. So thankful for His salvation. Blessings to you and your family!!!

    1. You are right, Mandy! We all have to remind ourselves to hope to GOD and praise Him who is gracious to us all; giving us Salvation by His justice and love. Nothing special about choosing the psalm except it was the first verse posted on the day that I registered to WordPress two years ago, with the song “As A Deer” in mind. This just follows the annual posting of Psalm 42 in every May 16. Celebrating the 86th birthday of a family member on this day; whom this “second mission” is also dedicated (as you know, the first mission was the YouTube Channel of the same pseudonym in 2008). Blessings to you and your family!

    1. You are right, Jim! When we are blue, this is the verse to read among many other similar verses. A reminder of GOD’s free gift of Salvation. That picture was taken in Koko-en Garden in March 2019 after a visit in the neighboring Himeji Castle. Springs of water that the deer pants as this Psalm chapter is also known for aside from this verse. Blessings to you and your family!

    1. That is found in the entrance side of Koko-en Garden. You should visit Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe area with family someday. Fukuoka area group is also a good place with many places of fun for children. It is relaxing to look into fish and Japanese gardens too.

    1. You are right, Dora! This is indeed a good reminder for all of us to hope on GOD and praising Him as well, for all His faithfulness, blessings, and, above all, His saving grace. Blessings to you and your family!

    1. And amen! You are right, Notes to Women! When we have faith in GOD and we focus on following Him, there is no point to be downcast. Yet, we are all struggling in our sanctification/holiness process and worldy matters that depresses us. JESUS understands that and for that reason He strengthens us. It takes time but once CHRIST completes our sanctification procese, we won’t be downcast, then again, we are in Heaven at that time. Blessings to you and your family!
