Very true! We all have so many plans for 2020, including vacation. Even in the field of disaster risk management and business continuity planning, no one could foresee the impact of the pandemic. The song, Who am I by Casting Crowns, reflects on the 14th verse. We have to remember that everything that is happening is all in GOD’s sovereign control, plan, purpose, and will. And we are grateful to GOD for His saving grace and The graces that He gives to us to even correspond today. Blessings to you and your family!
Love these verses as they humble me that I am finite. I do not know what today or tomorrow will bring so I must make plans, hold them loosely and follow God. Life is but a mist, make we make our mist matter!!!!
You are right, we still make plans just to live every day and as guidance on what we will do in our life. Reiterating what you’ve said, but “we hold them loosely and follow GOD;” we must have faith in Him. We do have plans, from planning to get dessert from the fridge to writing edifying blogs (i.e. “make it matter”), to far more complex ones but we have to embrace the fact/Truth that GOD is in control and has plans for us too and for the world (that also affects us). This is for our ultimate good (Romans 8:28) i.e. being sanctified and saved, and ultimately, for His sole glory. Blessings to you and your family!
So true! Surrendering to JESUS by faith; making Him our LORD in our life and beloeving that He is enough to cleansed all our sins is what is needed. Blessings to you and your family!
One thing the Lord has taught us these past couple of years is that we make our plans but He rules what is to be.
God bless you and yours.
