We are assured, Bettie that when we love the Triune GOD, it means He does love us before creation that we can respond by His mercy, thus all things work for the good of GOD the FATHER’s elect. With that previous verse in mind, we believe in faith in GOD that no one (mortal human or fallen angel) can condemn or puts a charge on us before HIM because it is GOD the SON who redeemed us, atoned for our sins, and put His righteousness on us. We are JESUS’ own people and we are secured in Him as He keeps us. Blessings to you and your family!
What a divine providence it is, Cathy! Indeed it is a good reminder as well as an assurance from GOD that we are spiritually safe with Him and JESUS keeps us from falling away from GOD the FATHER’s grace. Because He first loves us, chose us, and showed mercy on us, we cannot be separated from Him, from the love of GOD the FATHER in CHRIST JESUS. JESUS CHRIST, the second Person in the HOLY TRINITY, who atoned for our sins, puts His righteousness on the undeserving us so we will not be condemned to hell. Thus, no one can ever condemn or put charges against us if GOD is with us. Blessings to you and your family!
You are right, Crissy! This Truth is so encouraging! Looking at the larger context, we are condemned initially because of our sinful/depraved nature and we can’t save ourselves nor even seek GOD to save us. But GOD the FATHER, in His initiative because of His grace to those He has mercy, chose and calls us to live/walk by faith in our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. To satisfy GOD’s justice and wrath against sin, JESUS paid for it on the cross. By CHRIST’s atonement for all our (past, present, and future) sins and placing His righteousness on us, we are not condemned anymore. No human or fallen angel can bring any charge to GOD’s chosen and redeemed. Yet, we still sin as we strive in our sanctification process. Despite this, we are not afraid because JESUS is also working and ultimately completing our sanctification and also interceding us to GOD the FATHER along the way. Blessings to you, your family, and your team! I pray that the outreach went well.
Thank you for the good comment Clark.
Our outreach went well. We have been witnessing to this young man for a few weeks now, today he agreed to come to church with his younger brother .
Have a good evening my friend and thank you.
Praise GOD for this great news, Crissy! How heart-melting seeing GOD’s hand in you and your team’ outreach ministry as well as the persons whom He calls. Grateful to GOD for your ministry my friend! What a GOD worshipping experience indeed. GOD bless you and your team!
I cannot describe the depths of my humility and gratitude that the Son of Almighty God should do so much for me, and continues interceding for me before Almighty God. I truly do not deserve such love and could never earn it. My only reasonable response is to continue sharing Him and praising Him as often as I can, regardless of anything. Hallelujah to the lamb!
Amen! Such is a down to earth and right (heart) response, Alan, to JESUS CHRIST’s immense or immeasurable love. We all really don’t deserve Him. Blessings to you and your family!
This is the essence of the set of verses, Jim! This is also a good concluding comment and summary for this subseries. The subseries on election ends here. Blessings to you and your family!
Agreed. The subseries does show GOD’s immeasurable grace and justice. GOD the FATHER’s election is backed by verses. And JESUS CHRIST keeps us for eternity.
Amen. I love this verse. Just what I needed tonight.

I just finished reading Romans 8:35 and the commentaries on that verse and then I see you have it here in your post. A blessing for me. 🙌

How encouraging it is to know that Jesus rose from the dead, satisfying God’s justice and He is now interceding for us?

1. Grateful there are God’s elect.
2. And that God’s elect are justified.
3. Which means believers are no longer condemned!
